The villa he bought was your typical Spanish villa, complete with more tiles the eye could see, a huge swimming pool and acres of land.

With me being away at uni and my sister working full time, we could never seem to get the same week free to fly over. But in 2012 we arranged a time to fly over together & what a couple of weeks it was...!!
Like every family holiday, an itinerary must be planned. When it comes to the sun my sister very much could lie there for a whole week straight and bake. I however, get bored after 3 minutes and need to be entertained. Therefore, we planned a day at home, a day out, a day at home, a day out & so on.
One of my favourite things this holiday was visiting the city of Seville. I've always had a love for exploring new places especially bustling cities, so we arranged to have a day full day out there! We thought with all the beautiful parks and grounds surrounding the Palace, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a picnic in the park.
Although my dad lives in a holiday destination we thought it would be nice to surprise him for his 50th whilst we were there and so booked us all into a hotel, which is down in central Malaga for a long weekend.
The hotel was FABULOUS! Both rooms were lovely and spacious (especially the bathroom) you could have literally had a party full of people in there. But as always.... we were still fighting to get a look in the mirror.
A spot of exploring & sight seeing awaited us.

The new marina had just been built so we walked down and stopped for coffee. The air was so fresh and the sky was bright meaning one thing.
Boat Ride. Woohoo
The boat ride was awful!!!! I should have known it was a bad idea as I like my dad suffer with motion sickness, but we willingly got on anyways being in the holiday spirit. The waves were crashing into our little boat due to all the cruise liners coming in & whilst every single person was sat up top, we were the ones still in the cabin trying not to puck overboard.

Once ready, we all met down at the hotel bar for a quiet drink and some snaps, before heading out on the town. We started by filling our stomachs, eating at one of the top restaurants, Mariano. The service and food could not be faulted. Although the restaurant was on the expensive side, it was worth it for the quality of the meal and the atmosphere created by the violinist.
Then came the shots.......
After a night on the town we came back to the hotel and took the lift up to the rooftop pool & terrace, which also had a cocktail bar. We managed to get a table with couches draped with white curtains and almost straight away, four of the biggest and sweetest cocktails were ordered.
While we were still enjoying our getaway, the European Championship was taking place and Spain had made it to the finals. All the more reason to head down to the coast and watch the match on the beachfront.
I had previously done this in 2010 for the world cup and the atmosphere in Marbella was unreal, roads were blocked, horns/music were blasting and everybody was partying in the streets. So we thought it would be nice to take my sister and get back into the football spirit!
Being your typical English, we picked the bar that had the most flags/people/noise & atmosphere you could possibly ask for. It was called Punto Faro
The bar were giving out freebies (everybody loves freebies), my dad had previously bought the Spanish polo shirt Hugo Boss had done for the world cup and so was sporting that. Until hearing about free tops & ended up putting a Large one over his shirt. Us three girls were given red vest tops all with the Spanish football crest on it.
& If things couldn't get any better..... they did!
SPAIN WON!
All in all it was a great night and a lovely way to end a Fantastic holiday.
