Its officially summer! After just completing my final year of uni and going travelling with my sister.. I couldn't really ask for more could I :)?! So I thought I would do my first fashion post on Bikini's, as I have soooo many & as it's all I'm going to be living in while away I thought it was quite fitting.
So having gone to Ibiza last summer I went abit crazy and acquired more bikini than actually necessary. My favourite bikini I think I have ever owned has to be this fabulous one from River Island.
River Island - Swimwear |
I am such a girly girl and love anything bright or bold (or like my nan calls me.. 'a noticebox') haha! As soon as I saw this bikini I just fell in love, everything about it screams me: the colours, the jewels, the flowers ♡
Once bikini shopping started last summer I swear I couldn't stop. I'm definitely one for mix & matching even the one above wasn't originally paired up but I thought the colours complimented each other nicely.
The two below are ones I have also purchased as separates and put together:
Accessorize - Swimwear Next - Swimwear |
The printed aztec bikini is from Accessorize and as many of you may know you have to purchase the top and bottoms separately in this store whether they match or not. The crochet top in green is quite old, my sister bought this about 5 years ago when we went to the Dominican Republic and I stole it. It is just perfect for holidays to team up with denim shorts as the colours look fab together! The design has a very summer feel to it and also looks great at festivals (maybe abroad as English weather is never that good) under a loose fitted cami. For some people being made to buy a matching bikini separately may be hassle and quite expensive. However, not for me!
You may not be able to tell from the photos but YESS I am one of those girls who messes up the bikini pairing in most shops by wanting to purchase a bikini top in two/three sizes bigger than the bottoms (sorry not sorry).
H & M - Swimwear |
This bikini is reversible (the only one I've owned since being a kid) as you can see the knickers are plain once turned inside out, but the top has a swirly print on reverse which is also nice however the palm trees aren't the most comfortable thing when pressed against your skin.
River Island - Pacha Swimwear |
Another show stopping bikini from River Island made its way into my possession. This time its from the Pacha collection which they stock every summer... mainly for everyone's partying holidays (like Ibiza for me)! Pacha always do the most amazing statement pieces and must have holiday items... along with this I also HAD to buy a hand beaded half sleeve kimono in cream that was to die for. The thing I love most about the bikini is the tie dye print, the mix of colours all bleeding into one another and then prints on top in contrasting colours look amazing in the sun. Obviously the studs on top was a bonus and all in all an absolute bargain.
Primark - Swimwear H&M - Swimwear |
Absolutely cannot wait to wear this pink bandeau number from Primark, the brightness has taken over the picture a little but it is just layers and layers of pink lace frill and looks amazing when its on. I'll be sure to look brown rocking my natural skin tone its that bright. The knickers I have paired it with are from H&M they were the last on the shelf when I nabbed them up, so last minute that the tops had all sold out. I love how perfectly they match and are almost neon.... will be great for the full moon party in Thailand!
The purple bikini shown is also from Primark, they have been doing some lovely prints recently that just scream SUMMER VIBES! Again this is a crochet bikini perfect for all summer occasions in triangular striped pattern and at a very pleasing price.
As you can probably tell by now I am all for the glitz & glam as I don't own one plain bikini.. my bad! I suppose its always handy to have one faithful black bikini, good shaping & reliable fit so I may purchase one more before my travels in 16 days & counting! ekkk!!
